Yet another month has sped by…After arriving in Seattle on June 18th, we enjoyed a few days in the Seattle area with brother Rick and his wife Debbie, and also Rosie's sister Margie..... while preparing the RV for the summer land cruise through the Pacific Northwest.

From Seattle we headed north to Bellingham, WA to spend a couple of weeks with our daughter Lindsay and grandson Shamus, already 4-years old!!! Blaine, WA (where our land home is located), also has a great 4th of July parade each year that we were able to take in.

Two weeks flew by and it was time to “pull anchor” and head east, over the North Cascades Highway. A beautiful drive with spectacular high mountain views. It was a very heavy snow year throughout the Cascade Mountains and significant snow still remains at the higher elevations.

Winthrop, WA was our first stop…a unique, western looking town. A couple of days on the Methow River afforded us time to bike and ride the motorcycle.

On to Plain, WA, 45 minutes from Leavenworth to visit long-time friends Arne and Judy Jorgensen. An enjoyable couple of days, hiking Icicle Ridge above Leavenworth and touring Wenatchee.

From Plain, WA we joined more long-time friends, Steve and Chris Kuykendall in East Wenatchee. Steve crewed with us for the Panama Canal transit. We enjoyed several days of R&R here and also the cuisine of the area!!!

Next stop...Spokane, WA to spend a few days with Chelsey, Ryan and the boys (Jayden and Ethan). We had gotten the boys a miniature Harley back when we had the big brother to this one!!

From Spokane it was off to Lake Thompson, MT (between Libby and Kalispel to see Ed and Carolyn Stamy. Friends from Lewiston that relocated to Montana in 1989. Their lake property made us start thinking of what we may want to do after completing our Serena Ray journey....

We are now in Lewiston, Idaho for a few days visiting old friends and parked in Jim and Sue Gentry's driveway (they also crewed through the Panama Canal).... We will head back to Spokane the end of the week and join Chelsey, Ryan and the boys for a trip through Yellowstone Park and Southern Idaho.....
