It was a great trip with 3 great riders (Jim, Dan and Mike)! We saw the “real” Mexico both culturally and scenically and enjoyed good weather (blue skies!!). Traveling through interior Mexico gives one pause about just how fortunate we are here in the USA! We found everyone along the way to be welcoming and interested in four “gringos” riding motorcycles, in particular the kids we saw along the way. Even the soldiers manning the military check-points, though a little intimidating, were courteous and helpful. We passed through the "inspections" quickly and they often gave us directions to our next destination (no dought detecting we were having some difficulties navigating). Interestingly, not one other motorcycle was seen anywhere on our route, even in the canyon area.
