HOME WITH OUR FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS

We arrived back in Washington State in mid December. We had a chance to visit my sister Margie and also John's brother Rick & wife Deb before we drove north to celebrate a "pre" Christmas with Lindsay, TJ and Shamus.
John & I took Shamus to see Santa which was a hoot. Lindsay cooked a fabulous prime rib dinner, complete with mashed potatoes and vegetables to die for and topped it off with chocolate molten dessert served in ramekins. We had a wonderful but much too short time with them.

We flew to Spokane on the 21st and spent Christmas and New Years with Chelsey, Ryan, Jayden and Ethan. We had a fun and relaxing time, playing games, seeing "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Jim and Sue Gentry and Margie and Gary Thorne of Clarkston drove up to visit us, as well as connecting with our old Potlatch friends Jim Newberry and Chris Driskell. Sue and Jim will join us again in Panama for the transit and some R&R in San Blas.

Time passed way too quickly and we found our way back to the west side of Washington State and up to Blaine, where me made arrangements to put our house back on the market. Anyone interested in a nice waterfront home with a view of White Rock, BC?http://www.901rubyst.com/

We also took the opportunity to get the necessary shots for our trip south into Central America. Yellow fever, typhoid & Hep B. Also finally got the H1N1 flu shots and the regular influenza shots which we had tried to get as we came down the California coast in the fall.... so much fun!!. The night before flying out of Seattle we were able to spend the evening with our good friends Tad N Tina (formerly aboard s/v Imagine) who now live in Chehalis, WA. Great to see them!!

We are back in La Cruz provisioning Serena Ray and waiting for John's root canal appointment on Friday (even more fun). We plan to head south Saturday with stops at a few of our favorite places with our friends Wally and Linda on s/v Andanzas and Pamela on s/v Precious Metal.

We'll also visit our friend Marcia who lives in La Manzanilla, before moving on to Barra Navidad before we meet our life-long friends Steve and Chris Kuykendal from Wenatchee, WA for the annual Sail-fest in Zihuantenejo..... More as we venture down the road...
