Serena Ray Now in California

Hello all.... a lot has transpired in the last few weeks!! As of our last update in early September, we were enroute to Neah Bay, WA to await good weather for our coastal run. On September 4th, while in Port Angeles, Rosie received word that her brother-in-law was very ill and not expected to live only a few weeks (cancer). Rosie decided it was important to get back to her sister to help during this difficult time. The following day we received word he had passed away unexpectedly, so Rosie flew out immediately to be with her sister. After a few days, we decided that I could help with a variety of home related needs as well. Sooooo.... we found a very qualified delivery captain that was available "immediately" so we hired him and he departed with Serena Ray down the coast, while Rosie and I spent time with her sister and family in Bellevue, WA. On the 21st of September, Rosie and I flew to California to meet-up with Serena Ray in Ventura. We are now reunited with our home and spending a couple of days relaxing in the warm sunshine of California. Tomorrow we will move to Oxnard and then off to spend a couple of weeks in the Channel Islands and Catalina before making a stop in Newport, CA. We plan to be in Dana Point for the Southwest Nordhavn Rally in Mid-October and then on to San Diego where we will pick up our friends Wally and Linda for a trip down the Baja Coast.
We just wanted to provide a brief update on the events of the past few weeks...and let you know all is well. More pictures and stories to come as we continue our travels south. Hope all is well with you...until the next update.
