BACK IN SEATTLE....PREPARING TO MOVE SOUTH

Our trip to Alaska came to an end way too quickly. Now, briefly back in Seattle preparing for our trek south down the coast, we reflect on this fabulous summer cruise. British Columbia and Alaska have such beauty to offer. We really enjoyed meeting up with old friends and family along the way, as well as making many new cruising friends. We could easily spend a year in these waters, as we really only just got a glimpse its beauty!!

Fog.....and more fog

What MEMORIES though!!!.....snow capped mountains, heavily forested islands, Wrangell, Petersburg and Le Conte Glacier,,,,, whales, eagles, cruise ships, more fog, but way more sun than rain!!!, loads of crab, prawns, fishermen......, listening to Jimmy Buffet on Sirius XM Radio, John's super navigating skills, 21 foot tides, deer flies and no-see-ums, friendly Canadians and Alaskans, red snapper, gourmet meals, buzzing around in the dinghy, huckleberry cobbler, bears seen in the distance, Dent Rapids and Seymour Narrows. Most notable, the freedom of being able to be on the water, sitting at anchor and enjoying the scenery and quiet.

We will be in Seattle at Elliott Bay Marina until the end of August having work done on Serena Ray in preparation for travel south. We'll also be able to see family and friends before we leave for Mexico in a few weeks. Until our next update...
